falling into a dream
walking in
here i've painted the walls blue
against one is an orange
antique couch
i salvaged from the side of the road
on the couch
she is there
poised
and
sipping on poison
smoke dances slowly on the breeze
in the room
i stagger thru
the humid heat of her glance
and
am brought to my knees
i want to fall into a trace
with the pulse
and beat of her blood
wet with the sweat of fever
feel the tremor of her tambourine body
hear her heart sing out
echoing thru bustling streets of the afternoon
i want to
collapse inside of you
like falling into a dream
forget that i am living
the pain of opened eyes
in this moment
intertwined
a tangle of limbs
catching our breath
from hidden hymns
nude in our innocence
